The AAL® framework, patented in Switzerland and Italy, is a tool for creating digital learning objects, learning paths, learning experiences, learning environments, learning platforms, and learning and training management processes. It is a mix of innovative methodologies and frontier technologies, which, when properly combined, make learning an easy, fast and fun experience.
Arcadia is the only Italian company that has defined and patented its own training methodology:
We use this tool to carry out projects aimed at redefining the learning models of organizations We build training paths with an innovative methodology and create learning objects with the most unique features on the market.
The 5 innovative training trends that support the AAL® framework are: Rich Media, Gamification, Bite-sizing, Personalization, and Mobile.
Through a partnership with CEFRIEL, the research center of the Polytechnic University of Milan, Arcadia designed its AAL® (Arcadia Augmented Learning) Framework, made up of:
to manage relationships
with shareholders
to create growth-oriented,
cutting-edge
courses
to support the methodological components.
The technological components are
architecturally organized into
high-level systems
The massive use of virtual reality, augmented reality, simulators and games applied to learning objects is the concrete implementation of the main learning trends, as well as of new delivery methods such as bite-sizing, the flipped classroom or badging.
The AAL® methodology was designed and developed to respond to these needs, demonstrating that integrating frontier technologies and innovative methodologies lets the learner experience customized paths in line with timeframes and processes that adapt to individual needs.
A unique and high-impact experience, able to uplift individuals, uprooting traditional forms of knowledge transmission in favor of an approach that elevates the meaning and importance of combining learning and change.
Some elements of adaptive learning are:
By providing bite-size content, attention is focused on significant individual concepts
Exercises through simulators
(2D and 3D, photorealistic or gamified)
Platforms for exchanging experiences and procedures, to foster collaborative learning
Using apps and mobile devices for training, gasified tests and social learning
Score assessment based on content used, tests completed, levels passed, competition levels, badges and rewards earned.
Repetition of points to be improved through gamified platforms
Increasing engagement through the inherent fun of the learning path
The AAL® methodology utilizes highly innovative technologies such as Google Glass, behavioral simulators, Leap Motion, 3D mapping, augmented reality, Oculus Rift and other virtual reality viewers that are currently on the international market.
In line with the evolution of technological and methodological trends, these technologies, when applied to training, create an exciting and engaging experience, giving an active, customized and interactive learning experience to the learner.
The current Italian legislation on safety at work (Legislative Decree 81/2008) provides that the employer ensures every worker the opportunity to receive adequate training in the field of health and safety.
The agreement between the Italian Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Italian Ministry of Health, the regions and the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano of 21 December 2001 (published in GU n.8 of 2012) established timing, minimum contents, modalities of carrying out and documentation of compulsory training for all workers.
